About AAP
A traditional accountancy practice with a difference
AAP is run by Iain Singleton, who also heads up its sister company, Money Advice & Planning Ltd (MAP). MAP is a firm of independent financial advisers, operating throughout the UK, specialising in everything from savings and pensions to mortgages and insurance.
The lead accountant at AAP is Andrew Singleton FCCA, DipFA, AwPETR. Andrew is both a fully qualified accountant and independent financial adviser (working for MAP).
He started out in finance by working for HMRC, so is fully aware of all the rules, regulations and pitfalls that await clients, and can use his knowledge and experience to legally help mitigate tax where possible.
Assisting Andrew is Ruth Baxter, who is a bookkeeper by trade and does most of the day-to-day work with clients and their accounts and tax returns. She can assist with most queries and submissions to HMRC and Companies House, and has the background knowledge of how their systems work, to be able to clear up many queries and issues before they become a problem.
